Quick to install dispersing tools
Choosing the proper dispersing tool is crucial to achieve the best performance and high reproducibility.
A dispersing tool consists of a rotor which rotates at high speed within a stationary stator. The region between the rotor tip and stator gap is called the shear gap. Due to the high circumferential speed, the medium is drawn axially into the dispersion head and then forced radially through the slots in the shear gap, breaking the particles.
The VELP dispersing tools are manufactured with stainless steel (316L) and fit a PTFE seal to be chemically compatible with different samples and reagents.
Different types of dispersing tools are required to process different fluids. Sometimes it is necessary to use two dispersing tools to achieve specific requirements. Thanks to a knob and the quick installation system, it is possible to change the dispersing tool in a breeze and be ready for the following application in a while.
